SoundLike Privacy Policy

SoundLike is a pronunciation practice app made by Zen Partner Enterprises, LLC. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: there are no accounts, we do not collect your personal information, and your practice data stays on your phone.

No accounts, no profiles

SoundLike does not ask you to sign up, log in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal details. Your lesson progress, scores, streaks, and settings are stored only on your device. If you delete the app, or use the Erase Everything option in Settings, that data is gone.

Your voice recordings

When you practice speaking, the app records a short clip of your voice and sends it over an encrypted connection to our grading service so it can score your pronunciation. Our grading service passes the audio to a speech recognition provider, Microsoft Azure Speech Services or SpeechAce, to analyze it. The audio is used only to produce your score and feedback. We do not store your recordings on our servers, we do not use them to identify you, and we do not use them to train AI models. The recordings are not linked to your identity, because the app never knows who you are.

Purchases

All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. To unlock what you have bought and restore purchases on a new phone, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase management service, which stores an anonymous device identifier and your purchase history. That identifier is random and is not connected to your name or email. You can read RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

What we do not do

• No advertising and no ad tracking.
• No analytics that profile you or follow you across apps.
• No selling or sharing of data with data brokers.
• No collection of contacts, location, photos, or anything else outside the microphone audio you choose to record.

Children

SoundLike is not directed at children under 13, and because we collect no personal information, we do not knowingly hold any data about children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
